Bloggers Discovery!

Imagine not knowing your brother or sisters phone number. Wondering how to get in touch with them and then finding out they had an easy access number that you didn't even know of?! Assuming you were close to this person you might be shocked. Well, that's how the internet is. In the world of blogging, even your spouse could have his own blog and you would never know. You could be right beside each other in blogger paradise and you would have no idea!

What is she rambling on about, you ask? Well, today I made a discovery. My family has all been blogging away and I had no idea. Not a big deal until you think about it. Missed news, missed laughs over pictures. Missed moments... This wouldn't even bother me, except we are a thousand miles away from each other and here we were - in the same blogging paradise, blogging neighbors in a sense, and not a clue about it.

The world is growing. And shrinking. And we are becoming more connected and alone at the same time. An unnerving experience.

So, who are these people you ask? Bryan and Leslie. My brother and sis-in-law. Not native zulu dancers as they appear here. But incredibly talented children's pastors and educators of the famous Easley Zoo. Three young 'uns, under six: Jacob, Ben, and Sarah - the light of their Aunt and Uncle's eyes!

So, today, as we teach our children about the world - how big and wonderful creation is, how God in His wisdom created a world so complex, so huge - we also have to teach them about an unknown space. No, not the world of outerspace, but the internet. A space that your family may be in right next to you and you might never know. A place that, as connected as you may feel, is a false connectivity. Leading the wise back to human relationships. Back to each other - in the physical world!

The internet's great, and I will keep blogging. But I think I have a few phone calls to make - to touch my family, yes, across thousands of miles - but to hear a real voice, right next door.

Bloggers Mojo - lost or found?

OH! I lost an entire blog report! GRrrr... We were updating you as to all the events leading up to our loosing our blogging mojo, and boom - lost the entry! Very Very frustrating. But really, you don't want more of our rambles, you want pictures! So we shall add them.

Unfortunately, we have been very slack at keeping this up to date for the end of the summer going into the fall. So events as we can remember them:

A. Indian Springs - WONDERFUL! Emma loved being able to spend time with her cousins - she was not the only one as the Easley siblings enjoyed the time together too!

Pictures of Indian Springs: Emma loved going on "Frog Hunts" with her cousins! Here she and Jacob examine the days finds...

B. After we went to Indian Springs we went to go see Meg's family. Needless to say everyone enjoyed that trip! Especially Emma - the spoiled granddaughter! Uncle Miles had bought her a soccer ball and spent time outside the house goofing off!

C. After many weeks of other travels we came back home! Very good for our poor Darcy the DOG - who was quite sure we had left her for good! As the fall has progressed we have enjoyed many afternoon walks enjoying the leaves.

Sorry for the lack of pictures, as we have time we shall add more!
